today i present to you the Seasidetrip Podcast #14 - Sonic Puzzle by PeteBlas

Some months ago i created a set for http://soundcloud.com/sounddesigners Podcast. My http://soundcloud.com/sounddesigners/sounddesigners-podcast-37-may  was the beginning and Pedro (the chef of the Sound Designers Label) and me granted each other to stay in contact. well, we did! Pedro lives in Lisbon,Portugal, there the label also has his homebase. Lisbon is near to the Atlantic Ocean and that was one reason why i asked him; if he wants to be a part of the Seasidetrip Podcast. For people who lives near to ocean is it a short way to say YES to a project like this and so he started his creative work. today he will share his thoughts and feelings with us, based on .. a shit, read his words and listen - that is the best way :)

"Hi everybody,

My name is Pedro/PeteBlas from Lisbon, Portugal. I hope you are in a good mood…that the spirit! ;) When Rolandson invite me to make this PODcast for the PODcast Series that he development, obvious that i start to think - What I'm gonna play…?! He said me to think on the beach and construct something. There is so many genres that i really enjoy and I can connect to the beach, which means a lot of things too like love, pleasure, challenge, Intelect Stimulation, Emocional stimulation and so much more…Well, mainly comes to my mind Deep House , Acid or Dubtechno or the 3 of them… lol

In the weekly web show that i made for my label, SoundDesigners, i get in touch with a lot of artists, times and labels, mainly with the genres Ambient/Disco/Deep House/House/DubTechno and In this Set that i made i feel the need to connect solid artists with a lot to give to the Global Dance Scene, at least in my point of view.

I hope you like this Sonic Puzzle that i construct with the head in one deep side of the Dance Floor.

here is the Set that I played last Saturday on the Acid Bogen Floor at Kater Blau. My urge to play downtempo grew a lot the past time. I was missing this deep vibe, that is not obviously pushing you, but welcomes you with open arms, so you can fall, fall, fall. So I tried to stay on one of my favorite Tempos "109BPM" unfolding the vibe not with faster tempo, but only deeper and deeper music. And boy it worked. Thanks so much to everyone on the floor for being so open and letting go so much to create this free, gutturally boisterous vibe on the floor together. It was really magical <3

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

For me, it all started with hip hop! I was about 11 when my brother gave me my first CD with different styles, from Wu-Tang to Kool Savas. A year later, I was running around in baggy pants and recorded my own hip-hop EP with Hiphop Ejay :D

✔️ What makes good "afterhour"?

The most important thing is the people, if it's a good crew, it feels like you could stay in Neverland with them forever! But of course, like a good movie, the background needs the right music to round it off!

✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

It's a journey to our inner child, just like an afterhour, you can laugh, you can jump around, you can lie down, you can cry! Let go of whatever is sleeping inside you and hasn't woken up for a long time. Do the nightshift, live the morning hours!
A mixture that reincarnates an afterhour, with ups and downs, thoughts about being, staying, going, being at home, thoughts about thoughts, and also about Monday and then the way home.
Eat more Künefe!

Warming up the floor for my friends @akra_ondo & @cocobinat, and playing a slightly faster set than usual was super fun and I enjoyed every second of it!
