Dein Weg führt Dich über alte Entdecker- und Handelsrouten an Orte von solcher Schönheit, dass es Dir oft die Sprache verschlägt. Doch Du spürst nicht nur diese urtümliche Kraft, sondern auch eine erstaunliche Zerbrechlichkeit. Da ist er – der Overview-Effekt! Vielleicht hast Du hier etwas gefunden, dass Du gar nicht gesucht hattest. Du hebst eine Plastikflasche auf und betrachtest Babykrabben bei ihrem ersten Lauf ins Wasser. Die Schönheit zu bewahren und das Schöne zu vermehren, vielleicht bedarf es dazu manchmal überhaupt nicht viel. Aber irgendwo muss man anfangen.«
