NO MAN'S LAND - December 22 + December 29 - Radio Mix 2022

On the 11th of July, one of my best friends Daniel Zuur (aka @krautmusica) passed away. He'll be missed forever for his funny character, his serious moments and his overall wisdom.

On the 21st of July, we celebrated his life with 300 of his best friends. This set is a tribute to all we learned from each other through music over the years. The tracks are tracks that he made, he liked to play, or I played for him at parties he organised.

Daan, I'll miss you. Thanks for being in my life!

It was an honour to be able to play this set at one of the best parties in Berlin, the beautiful BeHome, in the wonderful Beate Uwe. This set is darker than my traditional sets, especially made for dancing late at night under the charm of Imbolc.  Imbolc is a time of celebration and ritual, often honoring Brighid, the goddess of the hearth. This is also a time of new beginnings and of purification. It is the time when we begin to bid farewell to winter to make way for spring. It is a dark time, but one where joy and light abound within the darkness. Thanks to everyone who accompanied this set with immense energy, it was magical to conduct that beautiful orchestra of dancing souls. Love always ;)

I am delighted to hear how Marcel developed musically, I don't have to like all of it but I have great respect for it. I am grateful to be able to call him a friend. But now we're listening to his »slow story in a bar«.
