Nervous Horizon is happy to present ‘Sogno EP’, the new project by label co-owner Guglielmo Barzacchini, aka TSVI.

Embarking on a journey inside the mind’s most deep and intricate illusions and hallucinations, ‘Sogno EP’ is an exploration into various different types of dream states and altered states of consciousness. Characterised by intricate rhythms, slower beats inspired by techno, dancehall and little to no melodies, the record features Italian ASMR and spoken word to enhance the hazy and hypnotic mood permeating throughout.

Taking a close look at his own states of unconsciousness and channelling them into his musical creation, TSVI dives into the abstract and eerie worlds of the subconscious with a project inspired by surreal dreamscapes, trance states and the concept of shadow work, in which each track explores a different aspect of the depth of the human psyche.

Ousmane is a friend of ours here in Freiburg, where he came as a refugee in 2019. He first moved from the refugee reception centre in Freiburg to a shared accommodation in Offenburg. This year, he then had to move to Renchen near Offenburg. As he is doing his apprenticeship in Freiburg, this means a 3-hour commute there and back every day. Ousmane would like to move to Freiburg and friends of ours have organized a room in a shared flat for him. But as he can't give notice for his shared container room in Renchen, he has to pay two months' rent. We therefore want to use the profits from this EP to support Ousmane during this time. The overall donation target is €2000 so that he can pay the double rent for 6 months.

Nervous Horizon is thrilled to welcome to the roster, Washington D.C producer and DJ, Soso Tharpa with a new EP entitled ‘Fistful of Shells’.

Drawing from bass, techno, IDM, as well as consciously letting his igbo cultural imprint flow and sonically drive this diverse composition, the EP gravitates between chaos and balance, thunderous energetic burst and vulnerable melodic openings, echoing the producer’s life journey, artistic growth and ever changing musical flair.

The textured deconstructed layers of fluid percussive motives in ‘Cyclops’ open the EP with a mellow hypnotic flow. ‘Pufferfish’, a syncopated bouncy broken jam, follows leading to the dance-floor-ready drum and bass influenced ‘Fist Full of Shells’. Moving back to a darker, more percussive groove, Knish and Sabado Gigante, a hybrid latin-afro-house club tool with acid hints and a catchy lead synth, are charged with a both grounding and electrifying dark West African energy that effectively sets the left field club tone of the EP. Slowing down the rhythm for the closing track, Tkapoi, Soso Tharpa creates an imaginary sonic route between the first and last track through which he can unfold, observe and rethink new parts of himself to discover a new foregrounding centre.

Marseille imprint Minuit Rapide deliver a forceful EP from Colombian speedster sepbtt with the 'Grima' EP. Meshing hard electro, with techno, bass, dembow & drum foundations, sepbtt strikes a fine balance of rhythmic and fiery club across the 4 tracks.

Our featured premiere of 'Y Ahora Qué?' thrives with its flow of bass stabs and alluring acid progressions across a punchy rhythm section that is both deep and daring. Tinged with dramatic soundscapes and sci-fi like SFX, it's perfectly moulded to the club.

Nervous Horizon is very proud to present TSVI’s debut album: ‘Inner Worlds’.

The album is about reconnecting to one’s true self and the discovery of the inner worlds: it is born from an ongoing artistic journey, which began in TSVI’s childhood.

The artist grew up with parents who practise Hinduism, which is quite unusual for an Italian family. In most recent times he was hugely inspired by his partner’s religious and musical background, after she exposed him to Middle Eastern music and Sufi ideologies. TSVI started creating tracks that were influenced by bellydance percussionists such as Emad Sayyah and Hossam Ramzy, combined with Dancehall, Tarraxo and Trance.

The album is largely influenced by the role of music in transcendental Sufi practices and resembles an inner journey through different states of meditation and self-discovery.

Vedic and Tantric knowledge are also important here. Each track is a state of mind from the opening one, ‘Root’, to the last one, ’Crown’, as they represent the first and last 
Chakras and all the other states found in-between.

Get ready to embark on a journey through mind, body and soul.
