I wrote this song in 1981 after a visit to my birthplace in Germany. It's a sardonic take on the paradox of urban humanity seen through the eyes of culture shock. It took a few years to get a decent recording, and I never play this around Christmas.

The latest surfacing of the tune is in "X-Men: Days of Future Past. 
The Electronica is performed and recorded all in one take, improvised on the spot. Different World influences from New Orleans, Indian, Latin, African music are woven through like strands of consciousness coming from various forms of modern media, incorporating into a new kind of world music.
