SAAI - VORTEX OPEN SOURCE - DEC2022

It’s near impossible for anyone who regularly frequents outdoor festivals / events in the (+27) SA area code to be unfamiliar, whether by knowledge or hearsay, with the near iconic name SAAI.
A constant and ever present figure in one way or another, be it knowledge or hearsay, since embracing the PSY- Culture in 2003. Her versatility in sounds and track selection combined with an excellent eye for reading the floor, has made her an almost indispensable slot to ensure the success of a line-up.
From humble beginnings as a regular djane at Getafix to gracing the stages of South Africas top Psytrance Productions including Alien Safari, Nano Origin, Vortex, as well as further inland to Johannesburg and Mozamboogy. Her love for all things green and outdoorsy ensures her strong support and following up the Garden Route as well. 
Saai branched out to the techno scene to expand her craft with the same approach she did psytrance, feeling her audience out over sticking to a tracklist. A firm believer of energy  and intention, she has inspired many young producers to embrace their talents and fuel them with passion. Known for her extensive music collection spanning across genres and BPM, the harmonic melodies she weaves into her event opening performances can metamorphasize into dirty filthy baselines and drops in a single swipe of the cross fader, theres no timeslot she cant play.  
Saai's following has grown steadily over the years, mainly  due to this artists belief that to play for a dancefloor one must understand a dancefloor, it's dynamics, and the journey needed to guide the patrons in the right Psy way. Every dancefloor is different,  Saai is one of very few artists who can always be found both pre and post set, in the middle of the crowd dancing hard and giving it horns, in not only support for her fellow artists but method research to enable a smooth crossover wherever she finds herself on the line-up.
