SASTE002 marks the second release in the Stellate Series: sounds gathered from the experimental frontiers and outer edges of electronic music. For each Stellate Series release two tracks are created by four different producers. Here, the resulting 8 tracks highlight four collaborations and chart the disparate sounds that gravitate at the far side of the periphery.

Stellate 2 brings together the visions of Dadub, Silent Servant and Luis Farfan, Roll The Dice and Plaster: yet as diverse as the forms and textures that they use are, something intangible provides a sense of unity. Stellate 2 is preoccupied with the process of looping, using both digital and analogue tools to layer ideas, distort perceptions and filigree finely textured surfaces.

One more song to finish of the year that was. It never really found its place in the context of our last album 'Born to Ruin'. But in a fresh coat of arms courtesy of our dear friend Pär Grindvik.Consider this our humble effort, a soundtrack for the festive season.

Roll the Dice & Pär Grindvik -Buried

Hydra is the second release in a series of collaborations called Assimilarity, this time a joint venture between the Dice and Maestro Allessandro Cortini.

" The whole idea came about following the successful collaboration between ourselves and Pär Grindvik on our track 'Buried' at the end of last year. What started out as curiosity about what could happen if outside input was brought into the process, turned into the feeling that this could be further explored by maybe turning it into a project and a series of releases. We have reached out to different artists that we like and that we feel we have a kindred spirit with in our approach to music, and we will put these tracks out individually throughout the year. To make sure that all these different tracks with different collaborations don't feel too apart from each other we have asked London based Brazilian artist Fabio Almeida (who was Malcolm's flatmate in London in the 90s) if we could use some of his work as artwork for the different covers. Fabio has picked out a set of images that have a common thread but also stand on their own, which is also the way Fabio sees his creative process. For us this kind of sums up the project in a nice way. Together but apart.

Roll The Dice presents `Elevate´, the third release in their collaborative series Assimilarity.
This time the Dice have teamed up with vocalist extraordinaire Glasser, which takes them into new sonic territories.
”We were really curious to explore the world of vocals, as this is an area we have never tapped into before.
However we did not want to just slap a vocal on top of a track, but rather try to dig deeper, to make the music and vocals sound as a whole. Let the vocals be part of the machine so to speak. We could not imagine anyone more adept than Glasser to guide us into this uncharted territory."
To complete the collaborative narrative, London based artist Fabio Almeida has provided yet another stunning piece of art for the cover, this time named
Click Clack.

Roll The Dice & Glasser - Elevate

Roll the Dice are happy to announce the 4th outing in their series of musical ”meetings”.In this collaboration they hook up with jazz trumpeter Goran Kajfes (Oddjob, Subtropic Arkestra) for another venture into unchartered territory.”This is our take on Jazz, where we wanted the free spirit in composition and playing to meet the somewhat static and rigid experience of programming and sequencers.To tie it all togeheter, artist Fabio Almeida has provided yet another fitting piece of art for the cover.

Roll The Dice & Goran Kajfes - Sketches Of Pain

For the fifth release in their ”Assimilarity” series, RTD are happy to announce the collaboration between themselves and Bristol based bass legend Sophia Loizou.
” Working together with Sophia on this track has been a great learning experience for us. We take our hats off to the professor of sound for sharing her knowledge and expanding our universe into uncharted territory!”
The track, titled ”Head Drop”, is as always accompanied by the most fabulous artwork by London based artist Fabio Almeida.
