The original is the best version out of the three to me. A very unique and haunting chorus.

A favorite, however it would be better if they left out the last bit lol. Since it sounds like it would end, but it doesn't. Guess you gotta make the track longer somehow!

I love the live version more.
15th single by Buck-Tick, Gessekai. Released in 1998 on May 13th. That would make it nearly the 20th anniversary of it in just a little under a month. I wonder if I should have uploaded this on that day instead... for milestone purposes.
One of my top favorites by B-T, it really brings you to another world and i'm not even exaggerating. Just close your eyes.

Truthfully, I wanted to upload the original and the live but I felt that I would get copyright striked for the original. Oh well... At least you can hear the band in the live while the official single is straight up a ballad for the most part. Sounds way more grittier.

【M】- 浜崎 あゆみ「ABOVE AND BEYOND」

one of my favorite vocaloid songs. i don't even know how i found this obscure song as a kid (i did wander quite a lot though). i tried translating the lyrics years ago as there was none at the time (after some digging, i found that there was a removed under copyright video of both the eng + japanese lyrics uploaded in 2016 and i missed it!). the only lyrics available were kanji and romanization. and now as i look back at that translation, knowing more, it's not accurate so... maybe for old time's sake i will go back and fix it.

殻 is "kara", shell. the photo is of a butterfly and a insect. i scourged the internet trying to find out what kind of insect that could be, effectively feeling quite puke-y but i still don't know what it is. i assumed it was a pupa due to the title however the insect has its legs out and whatnot. dear god. i have never seen so many disgusting insects in the pupa stage in my life.

sono sounds like a different person from the first half to the second half and i love it. it's like how monolith has two vocalists. i love the duality! wow that sounds awkward... "i love the duality"??? hmm eh i don't know how else to explain it
he says "nagarete" in a way that reminds me of female enka singers

i couldn't make up my mind on if i should seriously upload it... i mean it was the first song i loved on the yumeleep album other than the SE but no matter how many times i tried to listen to it again, i couldn't see what exactly i liked about the song. i love akame no ohitsuji more and that's ironic since no other track except for the initial three tracks caught my attention at the time =q=;

(me screaming in the background and crying while biting a handkerchief because i want to play sakuya and kagetsugu's routes so badly - does anybody even give a full two shits about who kagetsugu is in the first place - and i have 0 pearls fuuuuc) it's a full ear experience of this beautiful ost AND rain noises in the background to make it 100x better.
