Selekt Sounds proudly launches its vinyl-only imprint Selekt Wax with an evocative EP from Dragomir, one of Bucharest’s most prominent voices in minimal. Deeply introspective yet effortlessly hypnotic, this record is a meditation on space, tension, and the emotional resonance of stripped down groove. Each track pulses with a quiet intensity—crafted with care, driven by instinct, and tuned to the inner ear.

Etched on the sleeve, a poem sets the tone:

the space between the sounds
expansion and contraction
allow what comes up to flow
ebb like the ocean waves
keeping in time with the synchrony
manipulating sound waves
helps navigate the now
can you hear yourself between the sound?
in the space between.

Much like the words that frame it, this release invites listeners to tune in—not just to the music, but to the stillness it surrounds.

Dragomir - Trust EP (SWAX001)

Having outgrown but never forgotten his Peruvian roots, Un_Mute resident Mario Liberti is now a force in the world scene. His releases span an impressive cross-section of genres that converge on breaks, electro, house and techno and continue to push boundaries into new and exciting sonic spaces. With the COVID break giving Mario the time and space to expand his musical reach, the result has been releases on a range of go-to labels. Mario has released on the likes of RAWAX, FUSE, Pachinko, Sentaku, Pleasure Zone, as well as running his own labels Deep In Dis, TCR. and also releases as Sons Of Immigrants alongside his Chilean friend Rafael (Pinguino). 

To say we are excited to present a mix from Mario is a bit of an understatement. His fusion of timeless Acid House, electro and more vocally house is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise serious world of underground electronic music. His use of percussion and massive basslines means that the energy he exhibits during his live sets transfers over effortlessly to this recording. Not wishing to rush anything, he lets the tracks succinctly bleed into the next on occasion, letting the music do the talking as if mixing themselves and as Mario says, “Good things come to those who wait, because not everything reveals itself at once.”

Tunisian artist HearThuG has grown to become one of his country's finest exponents. We delved into his musical background in great detail back in June of last year via his Free Download track, and since then, he has only gone on to bigger and better things. Through his exploding tour diary, his own Are You Alien label showcases, or recent outings on the likes of Dias De Campo Records, HearThuG is undoubtedly a name that you wil be hearing much more of in the coming months.

Having been a fan of his outrageous productions and energy-filled DJ sets for quite some time, we are very happy to confirm that the stars have aligned and we have been able to secure him for our mix series. Shifting through a uniquely curated array of peak time bombs, HearThuG ensures that the vibes levels are dialled up to the max. Sounds from another planet is an easy way to describe the musical direction, just the way we like it.
