Parisian imprint Taapion Records, co-founded by Shlømo, AWB and PVNV, launches into 2019 with a collection of ravey heaters from Brussels based artist Hadone via his ‘Defining Persuasion’ EP, which features the gritty, melodic and high-energy techno anthem 'How To Fake Success'.

Following releases on Code Is Law, Grounded, Ravage and more, Hadone is building up momentum with his diverse approach to dancefloor-focused cuts. With his ‘Defining Persuasion’ EP he showcases multiple sides to his musical persona, touching on intricate breakbeat rhythms, pumping euphoria and raw noise. He's truly in top form on this most recent release!

Premiere: Hadone 'How To Fake Success'

For their second Ostgut Ton EP, Sunao @Gonno and @Nick-Hoeppner worked together on three tracks over the course of two years between their respective studios in Tokyo and Berlin – editing, altering and tweaking each other’s musical additions with a penchant toward melodic, multilayered house and techno that floats easily beyond the functional. Accordingly, ‘Lost’ is defined by the interactive playfulness and unpredictability of their collaborative process, elements often missing from dance music.

On ‘Lost’, the duo continue further out into inner space. On “Bangalore”, the duo showcase their mastery of creating expansive long, psychedelic ecosystems of melodic phrasing and rhythmic development; drawn-out techno exploration. “Love Lost” slows things down to a post-disco boogie chug of breaks, bass, dubby synth stabs and sadness. EP closer “Start Trying” is a sweaty, post-peaktime trip of strings and dilated pupils. Swirling melodies braindancing long after the after party.

Sneaker DJ session @ The Black Lodge 10.04.2019

@SneakerDJ has been on a mission to reveal the origins of electronic music for more than twenty years now. Whether as a producer or DJ – Sneaker is doing it properly but always after careful consideration. He loves music which imparts atmosphere and attitude towards life, even in a parodying way that doesn’t take it all or itself too serious. Early on, he fell in love with Detroit and Chicago but furthermore there are the obscure Italo, new wave and minimal synth gems that make his sets and Dunkeltier edits special and provide his productions with that edgy Sneaker flavour.

The session is Sneaker's take on house & acid music - as spirited and knowledgeable as possible!!! It was recorded on the 4th of October 2019 at The Black Lodge w/ Chris Mitchell and Mike Tansella in Los Angeles during his 2nd PanAmerican tour.

Joining Leeds' Love Muscle takeover alongside Michael Upson, Peach, Eris Drew, Saoirse and Tom Hannah as part fo the Last Dance at Fort Punta Christo - it was the perfect way to kick things off on the first night of the celebration. Enjoy.

DJ Extraa is a Miami born DJ and artist that is fresh onto the club scene. He has been DJing for over eight years and has been producing for over one year. Working with Miami-based collective INTERNET FRIENDS has given him great opportunities with multiple releases under their label including both music and art. He also started his own mix series called In The Box aimed at showcasing some great electronic artists and DJs from across Florida. 

As a DJ, he mainly focuses on electronic music but can span the whole genre with a love for techno, house, drum and bass, electro, and hardcore. At a young age, he was influenced by a lot of pop, alternative, and electronic music ranging from Black Eyed Peas to Gorillaz, to Daft Punk. Radioshow: Episode 021 / DJ Extraa

-	Shell-shocked by a compilation of Chicago House that his elder brother gave him, music pupil Roman from Darmstadt became interested in electronic music.
-	Visits to Sven Väth’s Omen in Frankfurt and nights spent with Underground Resistance or Warp turned his whole world upside down. LFO’s bass still massages his stomach region to this very day.
-	The first demo tape is given to Jörn Elling Wuttke, who is thrilled and leaves his others bands to join forces in a project with Roman.
-	Together they pay a visit to Ata and Heiko MSO. The latter work as DJs and sellers in Frankfurt’s Delirium and can hardly believe their ears. They are delighted to set their A&amp;R activities (Ongaku, Klang) in motion.
-	For Holy Garage “Surprise”, which also appeared on Eye Q, they found the Playhouse label, later to become the flagship of the label triumvirate and one of the most influential labels in Germany.
-	Time flies in the nineties with working on the label and the success of the projects Alter Ego and Sensorama. Roman also does solo projects under the name Soylent Green, Eight Miles High, Ro 70, Roman IV and his real name. The spectrum ranges from nosebleed techno to delicate ambient and electro-pop tunes.
-	Sven Väth asks Alter Ego to be his producer.
-	Remixes for Daft Punk, Radio Slave, Primal Scream, Ricardo Villalobos, The Human League, Spektrum, Tiefschwarz, Baby Ford, Chicks On Speed, and many others.
-	Alter Ego beats all the records with “Rocker” and Roman provides a worthy successor with “Geht’s Noch!?”.
-	Live appearances all over the world and Roman becomes increasingly popular as a DJ. His sets comprise 20 years of rave in one breath of techno, house, Italo-disco and obscurities. It goes by the name of acid house.
