Ishrab Sharab - اشرب شراب اهل الصفا

Ishrab Sharab Ahli-Safaa- Allah Allah- Tara Aja’a’eb
Drink from the drinks of the people of presence with Allah (Safa= purity), you will see wonders/miracles.

Ma’a Rijaali’l Ma’rifah –Allah Allah- wal-Walbu Taa’eb
They are the people of Ma’rifah (true knowledge), with them your heart is at peace

Khatartuhum Ahadal Ayyam- Ya qawmi Khatra
I visited them one day, just once O’ people

Wa’jadtuhum Ahlal Gharam- wa hum fi Haadrah
I found them people of true love, and they’re always in Hadrah (presence).

U’yoonuhum Mutha’bbalatun –Allah Allah- wa wujoohun Sufra
Eyes that are humble and has not slept for days, faces that are pale from their fastings

Ru’oosuhum Musha’athatun―Allah Allah- wa Shu’oorun Ghoobra
Heads that are not combed, and dusty hair

As’haabal ‘ahdi wal meethaaq- Allah Allah- Nazrah Haniyyah
Those who kept up their pledge and oath to them, enjoy you looking at them (now that they appearing to you spiritually to imbibe from them)

Bil-Mawla taabati-l A’th-waaq- Allah Allah- Layla Alawiyyah
Because of the Mawla (Sayyidina Ali), our Thowq (taste) has been refined- Allah Allah- a truly Alawi night.

Qultu lahum Nad’khul himakum-Allahu Allah- yaa Thal-Mawaali
I begged: can would you take me under your wing, Oh my Mawla’s?

Qalu li taqbal shartana- Allahu Allah- Wa-Shartu Ghaali
They said: you have to accept our condition, and the price is high.

Tasbir ala murri-l hawa-Allah Allah- Bi-Nafsi-wal Maali
Remain patient on the bitterness/difficulty of Love sacrificing self and wealth

Tasbir ‘ala hatha-l gharaam- Allah Allah- Toola-laylaali
Remain patient to attain this Love, all your nights

Tusqa ku’usan min Hanthall –Allah Allah- wal-Murru Yah’la
You will drink very bitter drinks, until the bitter becomes (gradually) sweet

Hatta yumsi-l Hanthall ‘asalan –Allah Allah- wa tash’hadil-Waali
Until the bitter drink changes its character into Honey, and you move beyond to witness Al-Waali (among the names of Allah).

Tusbih Sabika min Thahab- Allah Allah- Yaa man ‘Arafna
You will become shining as gold, O’ once you know us

Tujla ma’a Ahli-l istifa–Allah Allah- fi-l hayyi Ma’na
You will be cleansed by being close to the chosen people, in the same neighbourhood with us.

Ya man yalumni fi-l Habib – Allah Allah- Alla’thi Shahaad’tu
O you who blame me in my love of the beloved, that (I) you just saw

Fil-Qalbi Haader la Yaghib- Allah Allah- in ghaaba mittu
He is ever present in my heart, never absent, for the second he disappears I die.

La Ilaha Illallah Dhikr - Ishrab Sharab Ahli Al Safa

يا أهل المدينة وين نروح بحالنا
