I have never thought that one day I will work on a musical album which motto theme is one man`s destiny, inevitable difficulties to be overcome… The fight for life of our seven-year-old son Matvei, who was taken ill with a leukosis in September, 2016 and died in October, 2017, became such a difficulty.

That year was very heavy, with fear, hope, joy, disappointment, pain, grief, life and death thoughts, thoughts of God. We sew the little boy overcoming obstacles step by step, courageously and heroically, but going to inevitable death and accepting his fate. With his sad heart, worriedly and unwillingly passing away, he was gradually losing physical link with the family and friends, but at the same time gaining wisdom and maturing.

Almost all compositions in the album were written in hospital, near Matvei. During the day I helped him to take medical treatment, at night I was thinking and writing music, keeping an eye on him sleeping. I tried to stay near him as often as possible as if feeling that our time was very limited. 

Now I thank my starts for help to hold the memory of my son, the memory of fight against his disease, of fight against my fears. All this is reflected in the music of the ‘Gravity’ album. Now I am one of thousands those who lost their child because of this horrible dreadful disease. Through pain and grief I gained the experience which didn't destroy but strengthened everything I appreciate in my life: creation, relationship, love to the Universe, love to people, nature, music.

P.S. I remember how two weeks before his death we were silently laying together, and Matvei suddenly said firmly, “I will never leave you.” This promise became a really invaluable power source for my further creative work on the Earth.

Life Accompanied By Death

A mild, delicate, relaxing album “Follow Me” by “Rhythm of Mankind and Nature” project. The Voice Of The Moon

Breathing in the scope and peace of the Pacific Ocean, they dived into deep blue bottomless abyss, enjoying the transparence of the underwater world and graceful beauty of its inhabitants.
 
        From dawn to the dawn their home elements warmed their souls with tender, singing its ancient air, in which it revealed secrets to their pure hearts and showed them the great number of the colourful events, which it had seen during the planets existence, smoothly reflecting in their consciousness sounds and aromas, tectonic buildings, blossoming flora and fauna of the paradise places. Reflecting themselves, nourishing with its love and care.

Euphoria…
        Euphoria from the confluence with the ocean, engrossed them in caressful rhythms giving them the feeling of a scope flight opening up new borders of freedom’s felicity, surrounding in velvet blue and dissolving in its slow and regular heartbeat.
 
        Millions of water volumes were felt as a unit, and the sun was shining golden above them, scattering its light on the crystal flow. The gravitation was coming to zero, flying up into weightlessness!
 
        Life on the 10th atmosphere was pulsing as soft light beams in every cell of their body, filling with magic elixir of happiness. The happiness of the unity with nature. The happiness, which let them hear each other.
 
        The ocean united them. Having given the way to the call of the wild, having tasted the imponderability they saw each other thousands miles away. They communicated mentally and thanked water for the marvellous possibility to be together with their spirits. Thousands miles between them postponing their meeting. And thousands miles between were easily being washed away by the free wave of high feelings…
 
        And once merging fully into the rhythm of the element, they found themselves in the heart of the ocean and disappeared together in its depth.

        Much to the credit of its title, Freediving, the new album from Roman Pavlov aka Rhythm of Mankind & Nature is just that: an extended, placid, lilting descent from a more vertical vantage point into ever increasing layers of deep blue chill-out psychedelia.
 
        The foreign worlds Pavlov creates across the 71 minutes of Freediving’s fluid event horizon are both technically well-crafted and sonically pleasing, and taken as a whole comprise a hopeful, organic record that plays well both in the background and in your headphones.

        Allusions to water, the ocean, and the fluid movement of both mass and energy are likely to color most descriptions of the contents of Freediving, and not just given the album’s title and song names such as “In Pacific Ocean”, “Breathe Underwater”, and “Touch of Blue Light”. The music is as hazy as sea fog and as gently swelling as a far-off breaker seen through a pane of stained glass. Each track herein is a type of journey in itself (no song clocks at under 5:00), and best taken in a dimly yet warmly lit room. There are hints of a lot of things going on here, from the emotionally-charged electro-chill of Enigma and perhaps Bjork, to the ambient worlds of Robert Rich, Brian Eno and a host of ambient knob twiddlers, to the dreamier side of Moby and current chill-wave darlings Washed Out, and even some hints here and there of the luscious, dreamy melancholia that characterizes some of This Mortal Coil’s more ethereal work. Stars have been of special interest for me since I was a kid. I have always been excited about the Universe, so huge and wise. I wanted to go traveling through the Universe, observing the Earth from the Moon, discover other exoplanets, other civilizations, study laws of life for every living thing in the World. I feel that my curiosity helps me see many earthly problems through different eyes.
 
        In January 2013 I started recording the album originally called “Journey to the Moon” but after a while it became evident that my astral spacecraft was reaching far beyond the solar system.
        Above all, “Space Adventure” is remarkable because it is a single track nominally divided into 12 parts, and each part only serves to guide the listener to know and feel the current part and the next part of the track, but the album is a single whole. As for me, the soundtrack accompanies my imagination.
 
        The flowing parts are emotional: “Solar Wind”, “Drifting in Space”, “The Universal Symphony”, you hear melodies, tunes, rhythms, see images, and all the way to “Morning Breath” you float in the stream of events and experience various feelings – from thrill and excitement in ‘Taken Aback”, to tender and unconditional love for the world around us in “We’re Divided to Become One”.
 
        The names of the track were my attempt to hint at the mysteries the listener can hear and read, to answer the question “what is concealed in this very track?”, if curiosity wins of course.
 
        The album includes a few riddles of this kind and as you solve them you will derive more pleasure.
 
        “Space Adventure” became the spacecraft of my childhood dreams and now a rescue shuttle where I can hide taking time on the Earth’s orbit and for a short while feel free from all human vices and strange human nature….and then back to the Earth to create more music worlds capable of making a person better.

The musical project «Rhythm of Mankind & Nature» was founded in 2000. Its purpose was creating the mood music able to heighten the listener’s perception of the surrounding World. Composed as based on electronic sounding, the music is harmoniously supplemented by live instruments and vocal, creating both melancholic, warm, gentle pieces causing delight, the feeling of flight, cosiness and comfort and depressive melodies able to remind one of complicatedlife problems.
