Radio On Vacation with ROB/NSON

Fresh from the decks at Bassiani’s ongoing queer party series Hydrash comes this live recording courtesy of Jorkes. She’s the German-born/Vienna-based cofounder of Freeride Millenium, sometime host for Munich-based online platform Radio80000 and holds down a spicy residency at intimate Stuttgart locale Romantica. Bringing a whole ton of positive energy to her sets and releases alike, among them those for Permanent Vacation and Robert Johnson, Jorkes mashes up jocular disco with every house classic you can name. A key focus to her work too is the elevation of issues related to gender and queerness, making her a shoo-in for the Hydrash endeavour. It’s a cheeky and salacious celebration of life, a middle finger to imposed normativity, one that ramps up the serotonin minute by minute. Bassiani Podcast 205 is cheeky and fearless, a no fucks given mix packed full of glistening synths and euphoric diva vocals, feel-good rhythms from the Bassiani floor.

Chris has been a predominant figure in the queer dance scenes in America and in Europe over many years having represented his mainstay party, now label, Spotlight from L.A., the Club Toilet Crew from Detroit and now residing in Berlin the last couple of years where he holds down regular slots at the city's major clubbing institution Berghain / Panorama Bar (most notably the party Snax which takes place there). Chris has dug deep  and worked hard with these residencies to showcase the queer roots of house, techno, disco, and other forms of dance music.
For Phonica 118 Chris takes us on a heated, hot and heavy club ready mix which would get anyone out to party.
