The Dubpunx is a musical project by Romanto and Vernon D. Hill. On their productions, they collaborate with several artists. For “Get With You”, they used the opportunity to work with John Davis (Bass), Alleykat (Rap), Sunay Balkan (Background Singer), Kurt Dallaway (Trumpet) and Andrei Alexandru (Guitar). In this way they were able to implement their idea of a live discofunk track in a contemporary style. 

Young Society Records now presents their first Single “Get With You” including amazing remixes by Jayl Funk, Andy Bach and Romanto.

We've invited some of the very best producers in the Electronic Funk scene to remix 5 of the biggest Mined &amp; Forrest tunes from their 4 BBP EPs as well as a brand new VIP Mix of the Coming Though track to go with it.

Starting off, Lack Jemmon is bringing out the big guns to really smash up the Funk Toxic jam with their signature fat bass electro treatment. Followed up by label boss man BadboE taking the smooth Gimme The Best joint and wrapping some groovy boogie vibes and some jazzy elements to the equation.

Beat Le Juice takes on the Rock It banger from Mined &amp; Forrest latest EP and transforms it into a catchy disco bass house jam. BBP's very own B-Side has returned to put some additional heat and funk into the epic There It Is jam.
Wrapping up the EP with Mr Bristow's creative Drum'N'Bass remix of the mellow Fire Back tune before ending things with Mined & Forrest remixing their own Coming Though jam into an even bassier VIP mix.

After the successful first volume of Disco Paradise, we at Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, thought it was about time to release some more of those happy vibes to try and lift us through these trying times.
Kicking of the album, is a legend of the disco/house scene, combining forces with a master of the funky breaks. Jet Boot Jack and Gramophone Soul have teamed up to give you a pumping dancefloor filler, filled with happy claps and pianos to make you smile. That&rsquo;s followed by a stomping track from the get go from Leygo, with his secret head nodding recipe to keep you going. Next up is the funk-fueled, vocal stabby number by Venture &amp; Capital, laced with an array of instruments bringing that old live style. Joy Legend comes in next with his downtempo vibe, reminiscing back to the days of Studio 54.

Keeping it on the smooth tip, Jayl Funk enters with his typical funked up style, and continuing in and around the same tempo, we have a debut artist on the label, by the name of Luke the Knife. Horns a plenty and a rolling bassline is the game of this one. Label bossman BadboE brings his world reknowned super funky breaks, hip hop vocals, and big beats, for all you staunch BBP fans. Moving onto the next, Stabfinger is a name synonymous with top quality production. Since 1992 Romanto has been working as a DJ. For that time he developed a very special style of electronic dance music which is placed between Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Electro and House. Meanwhile he counts to one of the busiest German DJs worldwide. Together with his mate Out Of The Drum he started to produce Funkin’ Electronical Beats in 1996. In the same year Tobias and Mario produced their first track “Smilin’ Faces”, released on Kosmomusic. “Smilin’ Faces” became an international dancefloor hit very fast. This success was the reason to keep on working on this level. After that the releases “From Da Backyard” and “Notes From The North” came out on Kosmomusic, followed by their first Album “Agent Style” on the same label in 1998.
The enormous success of his productions led to a lot of international interest and enforced Romanto to special gigs like Berlin's E-Werk, the Loveparade, the MTV Air & Style Sunflower Festival and the Rave & Cruise or Frontpage Tour. But the highlight in the career of DJ Romanto was the DJ support for Jamiroquai's “Synchronized” tour.
After releasing the first album Kosmomusic published the single “Play It Again”. The track entered the German club charts and was sold out at once. This success showed that Tobias and Mario are on the right way in producing their own style.
The follow-up “When I'm With You” appeared on a “Ministry Of Sound” compilation, other releases on labels like Beatmodul and Young Society. Up-to-date the second album “Six Leaves Left” will be released on Parasol Phonoteque.
The influence of 60's and 70's soul music is as obvious as the inspiration by Hip Hop and Breakbeat of the 80's. Faced with the strong drive and the voluminous basses of modern House music the tracks create several pictures on your mind: Maybe Stevie Wonder appears behind the decks or breakdancers rave at the Love Parade. Perhaps Hip Hop artists rock on XTC or techno freaks are rapping in convertibles – The music of this album makes it possible!
Like on the debut from 1998 it was possible for Romanto and Out Of The Drum to engage well-known and international established artists. A few of them even join Tobias and Mario for the second time.
MC B.A.G.I., who worked with Kool G. Rap or P.A., writes and speaks the lyrics in “4 Minutes To XTC”. Eddie Greene, who joined artists like Mousse T., Cunnie Williams or Wolfgang Haffner, gives his beautiful voice to the album tracks “The Canjam”, “Reasons” and “My No. One”. Michael Marshall was the former leader of the R&B group Timex Social Club (“Rumours”), sang the chorus of Luniz' “I Got 5 On It” and worked together with Tom Novy. On “Six Leaves Left” he gives his voice to the track “Where U Going”.
