This forthcoming sister label will be dedicated to release and promote stoner disco, adult oriented disco and more psychedelic balearic-minded discofied sounds and we can’t resist to upload the first mix installment of the "Music For Stoners & Lovers" mix series some weeks before to introduce you on the sound of this new label adventure for the Sphynx People boys that we been curating together for months. We selected some slowed down obscure tunes carefully from our music collections that ranges from stoner disco, disco not disco, balearic, new beat, AOR, new-wave, synth-pop, italo and worldy jams to reggae, experimental and more eclectic psychedelic adult dance music to put out interesting one hour(ish) studio mixes on Soundcloud for your ear pleasure mixed with love by the Sphynx People members. Then the Jefferson Street Boys (aka Sphynx People from the Esfinge Edits camp but shhhhh) strikes back with the party fodder Clockwork, a more acidic and hypnotic proto-garage edit banger than 430 Broad Street Touch by the mysterious studio-only duo Gentle Penetration, which their contribution it's a more deep and soulful party starter tune influenced by the 80's Jersey sound know by some people as New Jersey garage, by contrast, the entitled Ghetto Bump by the Magic Numbers DJ's aka the Nocturnal Hazard Soulsystem is a raw but groovy late 80's punchy Chicago house cut with sexy male vocals, the heavy kick and the bassline bounce you along nicely into the whole six(ish) minutes of the track. "After a solid previous compilation release on the catalog with artists like Eddie C, Jacques Renault, Romain FX, Nebraska, Elado, Devin Dare and many more, the Mexico City based edit imprint Nocturnal Hazard returns with it's fourth release by the one man discofied orchestra Roman Truth & The Nocturnal Hazard Orchestra. For this second volume on our main digital edit series, label boss Roman serves up another package of three dancefloor-melting re-morphed cuts, the entitled Land Of Plenty is a frenetic discofied banger layered over with a new heavy bassline, drums, hi-hats and more complimentary samples to turn the mellow and cheese original obscure source into a proper party anthem for late night hours. The remaining two tracks on the EP are Priest Of A Strange Religion, which is a funkier discofied dancefloor belter with chunky drums and moody vocals that follows the same killer recipe of the previous tune and The Camp, a smooth and seductive classic disco-fueled nugget with outstanding female vocals, tight drums and rolling disco trumpets chopped and re-worked with care and respect to guarantee an epic disco ride. This EP is an ode to our past editions of our hot Nocturnal Hazard Camp disco nights that took place at Departamento Studio Bar and Futuro Primitivo for four editions this year.
