Christ is risen, Death is slain!
He lead Hell captive and bound it in chains.

While we were enslaved, He broke our bonds,
He lifted the curse, and erased our wrongs.

The women came to the tomb in tears,
The archangel announced in cheer:

"Why do you seek the living among the dead?
You look for our Lord the Living Bread.

Hear the angels sing aloud,
'Christ trampled death and life abounds.'
