I am struck by how quickly the sounds go from just the alien-sounding chittering of a few  possums for most of the night to the laughing kookaburra's alarm clock--which wakes of the rest of the birds in short order
Animals: long-tail possum, laughing kookaburra, Australian magpie, noisy miner, grey butcherbird, currawong,  and rainbow lorikeet.

in this house the violence of you is the air that we breath. an ambient condition or aggressive non-presence that supercharges the moment, like trying to keep calm in a room decorated with DayGlo wall paper and lit by 5000k light bulbs. this uncomfortable nothingness burns my likeness into your retinas and stains my memories of you. make no mistake, it hurts to spend time here, like being buried alive under the weight of all those unmet expectations i tried and failed to live up to.

Whatever confusions life surrounds us with, we should still be able to confidently way "I am". At the same time we should still recognise our insignificance in the face of eternity.

this track is the answer to a zen koan that no one is asking. it is the sound of an army of dead cats bouncing. if you've ever wondered what an army of dead cats bouncing sounds like, well... now you know (de nada). this track was *supposed* to sound like a lil ugly mane instrumental but alas, it does not. then again does lil ugly mane even sound like lil ugly mane? i mean, each of his albums is so distinct it's almost as if they were made by completely different people. i don't have this problem. in my case, i open up audacity hoping to do something profoundly different and it all comes up 100% doktorb. so here, have another doktorb, it's on the house (me)

The Smoking Trout continue our tale of the Quest for the Holy Dumpling. This time we're joined by our biggest crew yet! 

This one was a lot of fun!  I know when Jeff or Terry say there's a contribution from Jo, Tot, or someone new that it's gonna be special. This one has all of the above.  Really cool that there's 5 different countries representing here.  Terry did a fantastic job, as did Jeff, at pulling the collaborators and the mix together.  Happy to be a part of this one!

Those individuals on wheels had a hard time finding their feed. Hungry they were - for that special dumpling that connects you to anything pagans and believers alike deem holy. Although endowed with holographic properties, you can't walk on clouds unless they are numbered. They kept drifting upwards, therefore, slowly upwards until they hit the ceiling called Mars. Mars always happens to be where your head needs something to bump against. That's the nature of war.
