DREAD

This year, be it manic and beautiful, is coming to a rapid close. Here is our final offering to you. A parting gift, a final kiss on the cheek, one last pat on the back, a long winded arms wide open, heartbeat to heartbeat hug.

This journey into gentle reflection comes courtesy of Quincy Raw. Zach is a steaming pile of raw Meanjin talent, brains and warmth. He spreads his genius throughout many audible aspects; from a gifted selector, producer, dance floor director and part creator of local label @pocketmoth . It’s quite evident that Zach puts in nothing but hard work and devotion into all that he does and the community that surrounds. 

Notes from Zach:
Sounds of inner city pressure met with thoughts of outer city space. confusion, contentment, alone-ness, tension, love, togetherness, understanding. This is my hug.

This recording was produced on the land of the Jagera and Turrbal people. I acknowledge and reflect upon the deep connection to land and spirit upheld by past, present and future generations of Aboriginal and Torres Straight people.

Reminiscing on your life happenings deserves a soundtrack, and Zach has certainly come in clutch. We hope you take this time to completely wind down, breathe deep and zone out. Give yourself a pat on the back & scribble down all that you’ve achieved, no feat is too small. You ought to be proud of yourself. We’re onto bigger and better things, together.
