Produced off the back of a profoundly inspiring trip to his homeland last year, Luigi Madonna crafts the pin-sharp ‘Italian Shocks’ EP. The Amsterdam-based artist is a key Drumcode contributor, who runs the label off the back of last year’s well-received collaborative EP ‘Mad World’ with Roberto Capuano. 

The title track is brain-spangling, industrial and brilliant, characterised by a suspenseful narrative, which is typical of Madonna’s creativity in the studio. ‘This is the Future’ is crisp and rolling, an intelligent tool for every set. ‘Enveloping Times’ is punchy and hypnotic, an immense transcendental belter ready to be unleashed this summer. ‘Interfrequencies’ is an exhilarating rush to the head, as a killer bass synth and piston-like drums for a rave-ready finish.

Label boss comes back on his imprint with an huge EP titled “Centaurus”. The first star of the constellation is “Alpha Centauri”, a monster track ready to destroy some dance floor, just check the groove and the massive bassline, this tune will drive you into a clinical madness. The second, but the nearest, star is “Proxima Centauri”, this is a deep techno anthem, the pad’s and synth’s cords are epic, the percussions drive the track to an emotional breakdown, which will lull and then bring the listener back to an euphoric state of mind.

With a couple Kraftek originals and remixes already to his credit - Frenchman Matt Sassari returns to us with a full and powerful new EP - the aptly named Futi Kouati. 3 originals that could all be lead off a-sides - but we chose the title track for its more sinister yet musical elements. The middle track "Pushin'" got a massive techno remix from Spanish duo The YellowHeads who are absolutely on fire at the moment - one of our favorite upcoming techno acts hands down. Welcome to our first artists from Tokyo: Drunken Kong. With their great releases on Christian Smith's label Tronic, D. Singh and DJ Kyoko had a regular place on Monika Kruse's stick and she was even happier when she received this demo EP from the duo. The big hype about this release began when Monika dropped the title track 'Chanted' in her boiler room set last summer and it became bigger and bigger since then.
