Romulo has been playing the guitar since an early age. He started with the acoustic guitar, adding the electric one year later. After some years of private study in Rio de Janeiro, his hometown, he won a schollarship to the Berklee College of Music, but decided to go to NYC instead of Boston. There, he studied with Rob Scheps and John Abercrombie, among others. Was a student of Joe Diorio. Attended workshops with Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton, Mike Stern, Frank Gambale, Joe Pass, Gil Evans, Michael Brecker, Chick Corea etc. He has been playing with some of the greatest Brazilian singers and musicians since the 80's.
