Back in 2020, scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology invented a portable device called WTH: Dormio, which can record dreams and even program them to a given theme. It works using the Target Dream Incubation protocol.

The TDI protocol interacts directly with the brain, records dreams, and can also shape them around a certain idea. The information is transmitted to the user at the moment when he is in hypnagogia, a state between sleep and reality, when you fall asleep but still react to external cues.

This invention is now being used to alter memories and steal intellectual property on black markets.
