My Interpretation of Sedna's lament for her betrayal of not only her lover, but her father too. Being the goddess of the sea in Inuit folklore, Sedna was deceived by her husband and betrayed by her father later on in an attempt to rescue her. Her father had thrown her overboard into the icy waters in fear of the boat tipping. As she grasped the edge of the kayak scared of sinking, he had then cut off her fingers which turned into creatures of the sea. In exhaustion to save her own life, Sedna eventually sank to the bottom of the ocean where she become immortal and gained control over all the creatures of the deep and the storms of the seas.

Since I started diving, the ocean has been my greatest inspiration in music. Most of my dives have been on Aliwal Shoal, South Africa. It never fails to amaze me on each dive the beauty, diversity and incredible marine life. Every time I create music now, I can picture in the back of my mind all the incredible things I have seen while diving.
