We had no intention of doing this, but here goes nothing: everyone knows that this was a very difficult election for our country and that our nation is deeply divided. As Americans, it is our duty to continue fighting for our individual beliefs and principles. But now that the election is over, we can not do so blindly. We have to remember that in order for this beautiful democratic experiment that is the USA to continue, we must start looking for common ground with those on the other side of the aisle. Those terrible 2 years of campaigning are finally behind us, and even though it seems impossible, we have to start to find ways to love each other again to heal these partisan wounds. Music is one thing that has that power, so we decided to "release" a song from our forthcoming album. We're not selling it or anything like that. It's not our first single. It's just a piece of music/art we hope might motivate people who are hurting and confused to keep pushing, to keep searching for answers, to keep starting dialogues with not just the people they agree with, but with the people they don't agree with. Let's try to make America the country we all know it has the potential to be. Take a listen to "Fight" and if you're moved to, double down on your efforts to make this nation a better place according to your individual beliefs. Just don't forget to buy an ice cream cone for those that disagree with you. You never know, they might like mint chocolate chip as much as you do.
