Clyde kwam bij me met het idee een traditioneel Surinaams nummer in een nieuw jasje te steken. Wij denken met dit arrangement te kunnen laten horen dat ook traditionele muziek hedendaags kan zijn. Awese betekend begeesterd, er wordt gezongen naar een Engel ( moi moi awese) aan welke de vraag wordt gesteld waar is mijn overgroot Oma ( pe mi nana de) waar is mijn Moeder ( pe mi mamma de).

Hi music lovers,
My name is Ron Dijkstra. I started singing when I was 6 years old. Began to perform on my 22th. 
For quit a wile I sang covers and later on I joined different bands as lead singer, rock/Blues.

18 years ago I began writing my own songs and produce them. 
One project I,ve finished is called "Vocal Mistery" and did this together with Caroline de Windt.(Mai-Tai).
