A short compilation of songs I made using Beepbox and Jummbox! They were a new frontier for me, and even with the hiccups I had in the way trying to learn how to customize the instruments, I can say I learned a whole lot. Definitely more confident to step into more complex synthesizers in the future!

In my remix of Skytech & Dannic’s *Hurt Me Now*, I set the mood by blending UK garage and house, giving the track a modern edge while retaining its emotional depth. I started with a vocoder, using the phrases "My mind is spinnin'" and "My mind is spinnin' like a rollercoaster 🎢." The vocoder adds a haunting, robotic texture that mirrors the chaotic feelings in the lyrics. This creates an emotional intro that pulls the listener into the whirlwind of feelings.  As the remix unfolds, I drop a classic UK garage groove 🌀, paired with a deep, resonant synth bass that drives the track. I layered lead synths to create arpeggios 🎶, building complexity and intensity without using a riff, as the lyrics themselves are so profound. I wanted the focus to stay on the message of confusion and hurt, so the music complements the raw emotion, lifting the words to the forefront.  In the pre-chorus, "My mind is spinnin' like a rollercoaster ride 🎢, and I don't even care who's wrong or right," I added tension through rising synths, giving the track a sense of urgency ⏳. When the chorus hits, "If you're really gonna hurt me, just hurt me now 💔," I pull back some layers, letting the power of the vocal line stand out. This creates a moment of raw vulnerability against the energetic beats, making the emotion feel even more intense.  For the second verse, I kept the groove tight but added subtle shifts to keep the energy flowing 🔊. The lyrics, "Dance around the carpet, and it’s getting hard to breathe 😵‍💫," inspired me to balance the rhythm, making it both light and bouncy yet emotionally heavy. As the track builds to the final chorus, the repeated line, "If you're really gonna hurt me, just hurt me now 💥," is backed by a deep, pulsating bass and cascading synths, leaving a lingering sense of unresolved tension and emotion.
