Beyond moving bodies and stirring emotion, music can also be a powerful vehicle for social change. Every90Minutes, in conjunction with Gravitas Recordings, has curated a unique compilation of electronic music for an important cause. "Beat ALS" spans 17 tracks across a number of genres with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting Every90Minutes, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to funding ALS research through music and events. The release features a truly memorable cast of international talent including Bassnectar, BT, Tritonal, Richie Hawtin, Dub FX, John Acquaviva, ill.gates, Matthew Dear, Machinedrum and many more. Track vibes ranging from dubstep to techno meet downtempo and cinematic sections with class, weaving a sense of poetic diversity throughout the album.

Jay Smith, the Founder of music tech company Livid Instruments, started Every90Minutes after his own diagnosis with ALS earlier this year. The Foundation is dedicated to funding the most promising research and treatment for ALS, and provides an inspirational beacon for others affected by his disease. Apart from the "Beat ALS" compilation, Every90Minutes is working on a number of multifaceted initiatives to raise both funds and awareness for ALS. Blue Marlin's beautiful location and high quality dining experience is accompanied by an equally exquisite music policy each day by Resident DJ's Vidal Rodriguez, Prosper Rek, Tom Crane & Bruce Hill along with special guests. During the day whilst the sun shines and people sit back and relax on the loungers the resident DJ's provide gorgeous laid-back beats and chilled vibes to provide the ultimate Blue Marlin experience. At night, Blue Marlin opens it's doors to a selection of Guest DJ's and performers to get the real party started with appearances from Little Louie Vega, Goldfish, Wally Lopez, Chuckie and Barbara Tucker to name a few. 

For volume 7, Blue Marlin have really pulled out all the stops, giving us 2 discs each with a distinctly different flavour, but still retaining that cool Blue Marlin vibe. Disc 1 is full of great deep house cuts that provide a taste of nights at the club, standout tracks being the Luna City Express remix of Marcos In Dub’s Mama Said and Pachanga Boys timeless Time. Disc 2 is more chilled and features stunning tracks from James Welsh and Prins Thomas’ remix of James Yuill’s This Sweet Love. The album will be heavily promoted across social media by Blue Marlin’s label partner Cr2 Records, and will be advertised extensively at the club itself.
