what a flow between now and 15 min prior!

On the evening of August 27, 2022 the @warningberlin crew invited me to play the opening set of that evening at the tent of ://about.blank. The party had already been going for a day and I was the first one after the Trancesetters of Westphalia, who played a powerful Acid/Trance-liveset in the garden.
First I was a bit torn between the option to completely reset the vibe or to play the set backwards, moving from 110 bpm downwards. But I decided for the reset, which proved to be the right decision three hours later.
Compared to the other sets to be found on this channel, it's way slower than usual - starting with Jazz, field recordings and then ranging from 75 to 100 bpm.

Done with Ableton Live 11.1.6, a Novation LaunchControl XL, and these tracks, of which there are quite some loops, which glue this whole thing together:

On February 6th, two earthquakes took the lives of over 40,000 and counting Turkish, Syrian and Kurdish people, and displaced millions more, in what is one of the most devastating natural disasters of the 21st century. The effects of this disaster will be felt for years to come, and we as an international community need to raise money however we can to help, and also need to keep the crisis visible in global news.

On Sunday, February 19th, we hosted a fundraiser event at arkaoda Berlin, in collaboration with Root Radio, Radio Alhara and Resident Advisor. It was be a chance for people from the affected communities to meet and mourn together, to listen to some DJs from these regions play downtempo sets, to buy some donated artworks and crafts and, most importantly, to raise money. 

Together, we raised 12,000€ which was split equally between three reliable organisations: AHBAP who focus on Turkey, The White Helmets focusing on Syria and Heyva Sor focusing on Kurdish people.

We're thrilled to welcome talented German dj/producer Caldera aka Loop LP to the inner_circle podcast series for our 9th instalment.

Based in Brighton/ UK, Caldera is an artist we have been following and whose records we have been collecting for many years now. Having released on such labels as Noorden, Silva Electronics, WWMF, WNCL, Bokhari and most recently Kimochi, his productions span across many genres from ambient to broken beat, deep house and techno. 

This bass heavy, fast paced hour long mix has been effortlessly put together with a beautiful sense of skill and energy.  Hope you enjoy as much as we have.
