Born in Germany, the young producer MTRL was influenced by the experimental, hypnotic and industrial sound of the german scene and it’s artists. Many of them gave a valuable contribution to his deep and sometimes dark techno sound. Fascinated by the depths of space and inspired by the organic voices of nature, his sound reaches from atmospheric and experimental ambiences to deep and tribal grooves, influenced by the hypnotic vibes and frequencies of his environment.

THXLLSXN (thallsan) is a solo project by Emmanuel Michaud (Melancholia My Mother) using electronics, bass guitar and keyboard, with the following work process :
Entire rhythm section is written beforehand and modulated live.
Entire melodic section is recorded, looped and modulated live, with a large part of improvisation.
Writing is influenced mainly by trap & cloudrap beats, with deep basses and jerky hihats, but also techno, ambient music, metal or even psytrance - always aiming to build narrative and dramatic music.
