Roo is a composer of music and songs covering an incredibly diverse range of styles and genres.  He has been a composer since 2016.

With no formal background in music Roo composes his tunes, arrangements, and lyrics independently from instrumentation.

His songs are sung ‘a cappella’ (vocal only) as he uses his voice to create sounds approximating musical accompaniment.  This novel approach enables direct appreciation of Roo's songwriting talent.

Whilst retaining an ambition to create songs covering the widest array of genres and styles, Roo’s music often tackles challenging themes including:  politics, drug addiction and withdrawal, LGBTQI rights, prostitution, terrorism, loneliness, elitist greed, depression,and ageing.

Sounds like real upbeat stuff eh?!  Fortunately Roo maintains an equal commitment to making his music highly listenable, with joyful-sounding tunes, playful lyrics and catchy choruses guaranteed to stay in listeners’ heads long after their last listening experience!

Roo maintains a particular eagerness to collaborate with other musicians keen to help him put his songs to music, and is open to licensing his compositions, composing for other bands and singers, and working commercially.
