We're back with some good stuff after an almost one year break! Let's start on the basics with a playlist mixing House and Disco. We'll start by introducing you to Dutch producers Daniël Leseman & Hans Peeman's project. Good old school house instrument on this track. Enjoy

Putting this EP together was such a great experience. I had the chance to acquaint Greg Packer and asked him to take care of a remix for me. As fucking cool as he is, he said yes. After that, I had the chance to have a few drinks with grandmaster guitarist Gabriel Covarubias and we recorded his Gibson SG. A single take, fifteen  minutes or so. A great drunken jam session. I feel the final product is delightful! And to top it all, Dave Allison's Editorial Records is releasing it.

Dan Shake is probably best known more recently for being the first non-Detroit native to release on Moodyman’s legendary Maohgani Music label - and that was with this debut release, ever! Having built his name across the UK and overseas with regular shows at London’s Corsica Studios Sessions, Dimensions Festival and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide to name but a few, Dan dropped his debut release via Mahogani music in early 2014, following up with a sold-out release on Bristol based Black Acre this year. Now the respected selector teams up with Wolf Music regular Medlar and joins the Delusions Of Grandeur family (home to the likes of Session Victim, 6th Borough Project and Toby Tobias) with the funk fuelled Walk EP.

The Future Disco brand has been renowned for their iconic compilations since 2009. With an A&R reputation for compiling and releasing credible collections and the digital landscape giving labels more freedom than ever before, it seems like the perfect time to unleash singles on the label, keeping to the 21st Century Disco sound they have carefully crafted since day one.

The first release on the label comes from Vhyce, a producer from Belgium who makes funk laden house and delivers a remastered version of his dancefloor hit Just To Make Me, including brand new remixes from ONSRA (Exploited) and Till Von Sein (SUOL, Dirt Crew Recordings).

For their latest journey into re-edit/original production fusion, Brooklyn's "Razor 'N' Tape" crew has turned to Munich duo COEO, who have previously impressed via fine outings on Toy Tonics and Let's Play House. The four-tracks here, which all blend samples from classic recordings with their own drums and musical flourishes, all sound like guaranteed dancefloor winners. Check, for example, the breezy Afro-beat-goes-disco cheeriness of "Nigerian Affair" premiered here, the wonderfully rich keys and organic deep house bump of "Pajama Stomp", and the riotous, high-octane disco-house loop-funk of "Long Night Ahead". Best of all, though, is opener "Like It Is", a sweet, dewy-eyed, string-drenched soul revision that achieves the perfect balance between dancefloor grunt, and paying due reverence to the German duo's horn-heavy source material.

PREMIERE : Coeo - Nigerian Affair

Fine Records is the collaborative product of Johannnes Albert (for Frank Music fame) and klamauk's Tilman. While the first release saw the producers joining forces, the second drop was a solo release from Tilman. For the third EP, Dancefloors & You & You, it is the Berlin-based Johannes' turn at the helm, and it is our pleasure to present to you the first cut off the record.

Johannes is no stranger to employing looped discofunk samples in his productions, and "All Around" certainly fits this mold.  The track builds on a heavy disco style kick / clap and layered percussion and a funky bassline. As the lead, an irresistible postdisco era sample repeats and rises to a filtered climax. The female lead vocals of the original are slightly teased in here a la Tiger & Woods before dropping back into the main groove. It's a sweet, feel good disco house track that's certain to motivate dancefloors.

Cody Currie takes the bounciness and stabbing chords of Christian James' "The WHIP" and reworks the stems into a swinging, midtempo affair. A full and fun bassline keeps the track moving nicely between layered hats and some trademark vocal sample filtering by Currie. The remix is a nice compliment to the rest of the record, serving as a loose, low-slung alternative to the faster originals. It's always nice to see another American label taking flight in the wax game, and Nicewon is here to represent the NoCoast.

Very few new imprints have received such a warm welcome from all sides of the spectrum than Room With A View. Respected dj’s, worldwide music media & retailers have all been deeply impressed by the quality & vision transported by the label founded in spring 2009 by Dairmount & Anja Knupper in Hamburg. The label’s ethic is aiming to get back to timeless “emotional content” club music with a futuristic flair, while breaking the pattern of “functionality” that club music too often slips into these days. Room With A View presents a subtle mixture of House & Techno with a twist of freshness & Detroit influences.
