Roomtrax welcomes Korean-born, Tokyo-based producer Jiho for his debut on the label with ‘Rush of Essence’—a four-tracker built for peak time impact, but never without nuance. The EP thrives on motion: intricate yet uncluttered, stripped-down but always dynamic. Rhythm is the glue here, with each track carefully structured to maintain a constant pulse while allowing space
for texture to breathe. The title track, ‘Rush of Essence’, sets the tone with wide panning layers and a driving 4x4 kick
anchoring the mix. Below, a rolling low-end adds weight, making it a sleek and effective DJ tool for the floor. ‘Sabre Cats’ picks up the baton and injects a touch of mischief, pushing the groove
further through tight percussion and a recurring bleep motif that gives the track its playful edge. On ‘Second Blow’, Jiho turns toward a funkier terrain, channeling Detroit-inspired chords and warmer harmonic shifts. There’s a swing here—an almost cheeky tilt to the progression—that contrasts well with the release’s otherwise mechanical intensity. The closing track ‘Supply Deplot’ brings things full circle, returning to a deeper, heads-down aesthetic. It’s steady,
confident, and powerful in its restraint, keeping one foot firmly on the dancefloor while letting the other drift.

Next up is Nastia, a name that hardly needs an introduction. She's a rare example of someone who has built a remarkable career purely through DJing, creativity, and relentless hard work. Since starting out in 2005, Nastia has made her mark not only in house and techno, but also as a passionate advocate for jungle and drum and bass — genres she often weaves into her sets.

She’s also the founder of the NECHTO label and a key figure behind Qievdance, a major Ukrainian collective known for transforming unconventional industrial spaces into unforgettable event venues.

We’re super excited to have XDB joining us on the podcast series! He’s one of the best selectors out there, a DJ and producer since the early ’90s, and his journey just keeps getting more inspiring. Over the years, his creativity has shaped the way he picks the labels and artists he collaborates with. After spending years behind the counter at a record shop, he went on to launch his own label, Metrolux.

“Less is more,” he says — a principle he applies both to inspiring newcomers and established artists alike. Ultimately, it’s this approach that allows the music to truly speak for itself.
