The year is 2017 and Southern California is experiencing its worst drought to date. The Governor has called for an all out state-of-emergency in order for people to reduce, reuse, and recycle, but not for a drought one would expect — four-on-the-floor beats. An unforeseen consequence that in a time of digitalization and over-saturation has left us on a loop and have left the people dehydrated. 

Venues have openly expressed this deep thirst through parched lips and swollen tongues. Dusty hands are put in the air between spotlights and lazers. Children weep on corners to empty grooves. To what purpose? Is there an end to the madness?
 
One party crew has risen from the ashes of a saturated music scene to deliver fresh and fluid House beats to quench the thirst of its parched citizens. West Coast born-and-bred musicians (magicians, if you will), Fritz Carlton, Ghostea, Kevin Anderson, Lubelski, and Rybo have banded together in pursuit of resolving this saturation by giving their beats to the good people of LA and the world with a brand new label titled - Room Temperature Records
 
Their first compilation comes as a teaser of the eclecticism that Room Temp offers LA’s House Music scene — an 11-track heated curation including music from the likes of CA’s Justin Jay, Australia’s Kovaxx, UK’s Josh Brown, Sweden’s Ulf Bonde, and San Francisco’s MPHD.

Individually each artist has steadily left their marks on the scene with their respective signature stylings of House music. Now, they have decided to join forces in a collaborative effort to bring these styles together under a unified brand—Room Temperature Records. 

Their first release titled "Melting Pot Volume 1" was a compilation that included the likes of LA's own Justin Jay, UK's rising star Josh Brown, as well as Australian up n comer Kovaxx, alongside RTR core members and friends. Melting Pot, as its name suggests, is an ongoing curation preceding the eclecticism that RTR wishes to bring to the proverbial House & Techno table. The release saw support from scene heavy hitters like Audiojack, Gorgon City, Crookers, Richard Ahmed, Illyus & Barrientos, among many more. 

Get Down comes as an introduction for the core members of RTR to the world. The original mix stars the Room Temp Crew as a 5-way collaboration.  The track utilizes a classic disco sample layered with cunning percussive work playing the skeleton to vintage synth chords and sly arpeggios. Complete with an upbeat remix from Lubelski, as well as a smoother cut from Ghostea & Houseboy, the EP is sure to set dancefloors ablaze.

Room Temperature is a newly emerging record label in Los Angeles, CA. Brainchild of Fritz Carlton, Ghostea, Kevin Anderson, Lubelski and Rybo—the troop of West Coast born-and-bred producers are taking Southern California's tech house scene head on. The compilation titled 'Melting Pot Volume 1' features the likes of friends and family Justin Jay, Kovaxx, MPHD, and Ulf Bonde. The release is an eclectic curation that the party crew wishes to bring to the table. 

Josh Brown's track, 'LOFI' is easily one of the heavier tunes on the 11-song compilation. The young UK producer makes cunning use of chilling horn stabs and colossal drum rhythms. The result is a massive, dizzying stomper that is sure to set a tone on any dancefloor.
