Back to the Roots” is a hardgroove techno EP that links Detroit’s raw foundations with the sounds of, Colombia. Its sound blends the mechanical grit of early techno with the organic warmth of our hometown—rhythms inspired by the mountains, the guadua, and the dense green that surrounds us. The project is elevated by a powerful collaboration from Argentina, adding a fresh South American edge. A tribute to where this music was born, where we grew, and where the groove continues evolving.

Emerging once more from the depths of abstraction, Dub Techno 2 extends the exploration begun by its predecessor, not as a sequel but as a new vibration within the same continuum. It is a meditation in motion, a slow acceleration of the pulse, where resonance becomes momentum and texture becomes rhythm.

Comprising 260 meticulously sculpted elements at 133 BPM, Dub Techno 2 moves with quiet urgency through veiled percussion, diffused delays and evolving harmonic space. Within its architecture lie essential drum loops, key-labelled bass and synth lines, suspended pads, ambient textures, spatially treated vocals, one shots and 50 MIDI files. Each sound is a modular fragment, ready to be reshaped by the producer’s intent.

Born and raised in  Lebanon, Roni "Rooney" Nasr is a 24 year old DJ and Producer bringing a fresh, obscure and groovy proposal to the national and international scene.

Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy, having his first contact with electronic music at a young age, Rooney's picks are carefully selected to alter the listener's state of mind into something beyond consciousness.

Being an active act at his home country, Rooney is no stranger to Beirut's electronic music scene, having played at multiple parties.
