She used to be free 
but now we see 
that she’s captive within herself.

but now she is an empty shell. 

Her eyes glazed, and her mind dazed 
As she numbs her core, just a bit more, 
she enters the state of mind, that renders her blind 
from the problems of the day, and the people she must face. 

Running through the motions 
all the time 
Her thoughts are obstructions 
to achieve delight 

Trapped forever within an empty shell, that once resembled herself 
she lives for the moment of inebriation, 
with the ensuing destruction 
of herself and creation of her internal hell
