“Encontrándote” es una canción de roots reggae romántico y espiritual, un viaje sonoro que fusiona el amor entre dos personas con la fuerza del mensaje universal de Jah.

Con un ritmo lento y profundo (~90 BPM), marcado por el clásico one drop en la batería, un bajo cálido y envolvente, guitarras rítmicas con delay y percusión Nyabinghi, la canción transmite la esencia del reggae más puro y a la vez íntimo.

La letra es una historia de búsqueda y encuentro, donde el protagonista reconoce en su amada no solo el amor humano, sino también una luz espiritual que guía, sana y libera. Cada verso describe la manera en que su sonrisa, su voz y su presencia se convierten en raíz, refugio y verdad.

El coro melódico y repetitivo refuerza la idea de hallazgo y renacimiento: “Encontrándote, mi corazón halló su lugar, eres la canción que mi alma quiere cantar…”, mientras que el puente con llamada y respuesta evoca la tradición africana y comunitaria del reggae espiritual, generando un ambiente de unidad y devoción.

Hacia el final, los coros suaves con “na-na-na” estilo reggae-pop añaden frescura y un aire universal, invitando a todos a unirse al canto. El outro etéreo susurrado cierra la pieza con un mensaje de amor eterno y unidad bajo Jah.

“Encontrándote” no es solo una canción de amor romántico, sino también un himno al poder del amor como fuerza de vida, luz y redención.

Growing up in both the cities of Long Beach & Carson, CA, Dread Kennedy has always been connected to music through​ ​his culture. As a Polynesian, of Samoan decent, language, music, and dance has always been three of the biggest representations of his roots​. Currently  the lead singer for a ​Southern California band, named Ital Vibes and vocalist in Josh Heinrichs, Voltron band, Dread Kennedy has​ ​since broadened his talents to become quite the all-around musician. Adding the ukulele, guitar, bass, piano, and drums to his repertoire it was only a matter of time he would​ embark on a road as a solo artist. Along with his gifted vocal, songwriting, and freestyle abilities, Dread Kennedy has a high energy​, on stage presence that will leave you with a lasting impression only wanting more.​ ​He has also gained the recognition and support from his peers and​ It is not uncommon to see artists such as Collie Buddz, Josh Heinrichs, Fortunate Youth, Tribal Seeds, and​ ​a legend like Pato Banton pull him on stage​ ​for a family jam​ ​and toasting session.​ ​Performing at major west coast festivals such as Cali Roots, One Love Cali Reggae fest, Reggae on the Mountain, and Dry Diggins, it is safe to say that Dread Kennedy was born for the stage and "Mr. Music Man" for the masses. With a want and drive to impact the masses in positivity through realism and relatable music, Dread Kennedy is paving his way into musical reggae history​ ​one heart at a time.

Dread Kennedy has had the pleasures of sharing the stage with notable acts such as  Rebelution, The Wailers, Soja, Chronixx, Ziggy Marley, Pepper, Don Carlos, Expendables, Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure, and much, much more.
