Live and studio project created in September 2009 by musicians Nicolò Tucci and Sabrina Ferro from Bologna (ITA), Dub Engine is part of the last generation of dub producers who know how to feed their work with various music genres.

While keeping the uniqueness of reggae/dub music unimpaired, they tinge their sound according to the contemporary punk and dubstep movement which surrounds them.

With a great complicity, the couple develops a powerful music, supported by winds, strings and percussions leaning on a massive sub bass, kick drum and wobbles synths.

Deeply influenced by UK & French new millenium dub era (Iration Steppas, Bush Chemists, Kanka, Dub Machinist, Dubkasm, Skream) they started to evolve their live show towards a new "psycho-dubstep" way, merging the hypnotic energy of dub music with militant-warrior style typical of dubstep music.

Revealed in 2010 with a 8-track release under free Creative Commons licence on "Irie On Air" net-label , they appeared on several european compilations before signing "Rude Boy" in 2011 on Dubatriation Records, their first 7" vinyl release.

Pur mantenendo l'indiscussa unicità della musica reggae/dub, Dub Engine ridipingono i propri suoni influenzati dalla scena punk e dubstep che li circonda.

Con grande complicità miscelano archi, fiati e percussioni supportati da profonde linee di basso, kick drum e wobble synths.

Profondamente influenzati dalla scena dub inglese e francese del nuovo millennio (Iration Steppas, Bush Chemists, Kanka, Dub Machinist, Dubkasm, Skream), uniscono nel live-set l'energia ipnotica della musica dub con lo stile militant-warrior della musica dubstep.

Rilasciano nel 2010 la loro prima net-release di 8 tracce per "Irie On Air" net-label sotto licenza gratuita Creative Commons, ed in seguito partecipano a diverse compilations europee prima di pubblicare nel 2011 "Rude Boy" il loro primo 7" in vinile per Dubatriation Records, label con sede a Dijon(FR).

L'association Marée BASS est heureux de vous présenter la Compilation # 4 avec que des exclusivités venant du Turtle Crew &amp; quelques invités en surprise.

20 producteurs de l'Europe entière dont une majorité en France mais en passant aussi par l'Italie, la Pologne ou encore la Hongrie, ce sont donc mobilisés pour nous offrir une compilation dub et éclectique.
Roots, UK Dub, Dubstep, Stepper, Dub Electro sont au rendez-vous pour vous accompagner tout l'été sur vos routes.

Il s'agit aussi de regrouper les artistes qui ont contribué à la vie de l'association depuis ses débuts à aujourd'hui.
Cette édition est téléchargeable sous forme de donation via notre plateforme bandcamp. Notre objectif étant de sortir la Compilation # 5 en 2016 au format vinyl, pour le plaisir de l'objet, les amoureux des galettes et fêter comme il se doit nos cinq ans.

It's also to group artists who have contributed to the life of the association from its beginnings to today.
This edition is downloadable in the form of donation via our platform bandcamp. Our aim being to exit Compilation # 5 in 2016 in vinyl record, for the pleasure of the object, lovers of vinyls and celebrate like it should be our five years.

Mahala Rai Banda proved on their album “Ghetto Blasters” that they were not only masters of hyper-fast dance tunes but also capable of a warm Caribbean groove called “Balkan Reggae”. 
“Balkan Reggae” found Mahala Rai Banda paying homage to their soul brothers in Jamaica. In the year that Jamaica celebrated 50 years of independence MRB embraced their Jamaican musical brethren by inviting several top Dub remixers like Mad Professor, Jstar and Nick Manasseh to give their Romanian Reggae tune a sonic turbo charge. DIGITALDUBS joins the legendary UK mc BROTHER CULTURE for another underground hit on their label MUZAMBA (distributed by Scotch Bonnet).
The 10th vinyl release on Digitaldubs own label (out may 2013) brings a ruff riddim with "cheap keyboard beat" that is impossible to not dance when it's playing. For those into the reggae dancehall scene, that kind of beat relates direct to Jamaica, 1985. But if you live in north of Brasil - more precisely in Belém city, in the Amazon area - this kind of rhythm and sound is very popular in a music genre called "Tecno-Brega".

 This “steppactivist” wears the flag of the two High Tone’s side projects, the “Dub Box” and “Dub Invaders”, and acts as the finest selector in his field, bringing the roots and future of dub right to your ears ! Behind the « Control Tower », he presents productions of his own net label (JFX dubstore) High Tone dubplates and hand made dubwise !

His project Roots’n  Future Hi-Fi, was born to the release of a compilation of his remixes on the label Audioactivity  in 2010. He has since collaborated with singers Pupa Jim, Shanti D, Echo Ranks, Brother Joe Pilgrim, his productions and remixes were released on the net label JFX dubstore which he has initiated. Veteran activist of the dub scene, and sound systems, artists emblematic of this scene, Iration Steppas, OBF, Dub Machinist have also collaborated with ROots’n Future Hi-Fi and remixed those songs. Since two years, Dino works to the elaboration of a full LP of original composition, fed meetings of artists, singers and graphic artists. Stay tuned !
