For me, creativity is so dependent on surroundings.  Exterior attributes like temperature, sound and even smell, play a large role in igniting creativity.  Digging further personally, maybe it’s more ‘comfort’ that opens your creative mind.  What comforts you?  Does 73 degrees Fahrenheit do the trick?  The smell of a fresh-cut lawn?  Maybe the sounds of a Harold Budd album?  I have been out in the world and heard, felt, smelled, things that have triggered a memory.  If you ever run into these things, stop and make note.  Triggers will do more than transport you back to a book-marked event, they also leave your mind wide open to new ideas.

The goal was set to input sounds of life and mix them with my own sound output.

To do so, i designed a blend of computer-made ambient loops with field recordings and sound design. The field recordings where taken as i traveled from Baja California to Ciudad de México, mostly from airports, planes, streets, parks, animals and my voice. As a result, the album consists in 7 lengthy tracks of minimalistic transitions.

The structure of every track is loop-based, therefore you can listen to the same sounds at the beginning then at the end, they will repeat through the entirety of the piece, therefore i chose to call it ''Versa''. In spanish, my mother tongue, it means ''To spin around something'', and ''To set a topic or theme'', however it seemed fit to the album and applied as a wordplay to name every track.
