London based, Lithuanian producer Arnheim @arnheim presents "The Journey Is The Place To Be", a five-track EP of fine house music with Detroit’s Jazz & Soul influences. The release lands on Marco Celeri’s label, Roots Underground @rootsundergroundrecords and will hit stores this April 8th. 

"Open Sight on Flightways" is the opening EP track, with hypnotic rhodes loops on a 4/4 rhythm marked by sharp hi-hats and snare with a live feel, interrupted by an acid synth line that gives the track the roughness needed to be played on any type of dancefloor. A-Side continues with "Is There A Way", over 7 minutes of soulful softness featuring the guitar of Andrés Alcover (as well as the backing vocals of the track) and the beautiful voice of Vimbai Mango that really warms the hearts.

We are proudly unveiling the B1 track of the EP, with "Bird’s View" and its airy strings that follow one another insistently over the beat, interspersed with rhode keys that actually give the track greater concreteness and solidity. "The Time it Hits", on the other hand, has the peculiarity of sounding like a track that fits into the tradition of a certain MPC House for the roughness with which the rhode chords follow one another on the nervous and incessant beat, charged by beautiful jazz-style hi-hats. The solemn and syncopated atmosphere of "Singularity" makes it almost a Jazz march for the clubs and closes the B-side of this beautiful EP.

A brillant release that will surely satisfy the most demanding palate of any devoted House music lover.

The story goes that he's a deejay/producer/musician, Rocksteady Disco label boss hailing from Detroit, a cancer, probably an enneagram 7, who's known to consume copious amounts of third wave coffee and fix deejay booths around the city. 
This mix was recorded live at a legendary vinyl-only party in Detroit called Slow Jams back on Labor Day 2016. It's some of my favorite music that I grew up hearing around my house or have discovered in my never-ending digging escapades. Heaps of jazz funk, rare groove, and balearic sounds inside."
