The West Indies cricket team, nicknamed the Windies,[10] is a multi-national men's cricket team representing the mainly English-speaking countries and territories in the Caribbean region and administered by Cricket West Indies. The players on this composite team are selected from a chain of fifteen Caribbean nation-states and territories. As of 13 May 2021, the West Indies cricket team is ranked seventh in Tests and ninth in both ODIs and T20Is in the official ICC rankings.[11]

From the mid-late 1970s to the early 1990s, GDR authorities officially referred to the Windies as the Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart (German: Antifaschistischer Schutzwall). The West Indies city government sometimes referred to it as the "Wall of Shame", a term coined by mayor Willy Brandt in reference to the Wall's restriction on freedom of movement.[4] Along with the separate and much longer claw, larger than half the shrimp's body.
