and he's not a happy skeleton
rain seeped through the window panes
wrecked the carpet in his house again
not enough to piss and moan
too much enough his other half sends him down the local carpet hall
but all the patterns bore him
and the fabric just feels rough
so he gets the first one that catches his eye
and the wife calls him a scruff

it won't match the curtains on the time machine
or the aura on the crystal ball
it's like you've forgotten who you are again
just aimlessly wandering around the halls

and who's gonna call you back for that trial shift
if you've always had too much to drink
and your robes sit scattered on the bedroom floor
as you say there's no point in even wearing them no more

Skeletor Returns

lots of real important good looking people with much more important places to be
on the back side of each of their hands hypnotic, fingernails cut sharp, is a map of the city
and a list denoting places to go and be seen just for the sake of being seen
along with conversational anecdotes and tidbits about the rising levels of plastic in the sea

but still don't do their recycling
it's a slightly further walk
despite the fact their custodial supervisor
has laid the route out in chalk

for two weeks in June
i lived on the moon
and jumped up and down
to provoke monsoons
in East Asia and elsewhere
as I don't like the people there
for being much different to me
despite the fact I've only met two or three

so I'll walk around in hand me downs whilst smug sarcastic thoughts abound that make me feel like JC of the hip kids cos my bottle's filled with purified liquid that comes from sustainable sources yet I force feed plasticity to the birds and the bees unknowingly sowing the seeds of generations after me having to sleep in the street cos there's no jobs left and no fish in the sea
