It's already been 12 months, 12 hours, 12 episodes, 1 year, however you want to say it, since 'The Turning Point' first aired, last year in September. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been listening and supporting!

I have something special for you all to assist in celebrating this 1 year triumph. On board for the 12th Hour and the 1 Year Anniversary of The Turning Point, will be a special exclusive live set from one of my favorite artists/DJs for a few years now - Cid Inc! Cid was nice enough to send me his live mix from Summer Music Festival in Lithuania, and if you weren't there for his performance during the festival, then you will be hearing it for the first time on The Turning Point: Hour 12 :)


In addition to Cid's exclusive live set during the second hour, I will be opening the show up for the first hour, doing something a little different from the usual build and progression, for the 1 year celebration. I will be taking 'The Turning Point Pick Of The Month' from every single episode/hour from the past year, and compiling all of them in a 1 hour mix, including this month's TTP pick. Get ready for an hour of straight fire from start to finish ;)

THE FOCUS:

The Turning Point' radio show has a main focus. In short, it emphasizes a point in time in the programming of the DJ mix which implicates a turnaround in the feeling and vibe of the entire set, where the DJ transitions the mix on to a higher level of energy. If any of you have ever listened to my sets or have seen me spin live, you have an idea of what I speak of, as a lot of my mixes are built for the club environment. The build and progression of the set has a direct impact on how the Turning Point of the mix creates this crossover.

As in my recent mix series 'Same Difference' (Aug 2011-Aug 2013), some other main focus points of this show are to keep the artform of DJing alive and well, and to use and expose underground talent from across the planet to assist in building up to the turning point, keeping us steadily in it.


THE FEELING:

"It's something that the senses of the mind and body react to first…something that you mostly feel, rather than hear. It has the power to bring out an indescribable satisfaction. You look around the room and notice that just about everyone feels it regardless of whether they have realized what's happening or not. You feel it, they feel it, he and she feels it… You can see it in their eyes. It's the one moment of the night when you know the tease is over, and the DJ is about to go all in. This is something I like to call 'The Turning Point', and we have reached it.."
