Welcome to the first in a series of free downloads from Rory Lyons. To get the party started, Rory remakes Digital Underground's 1989 hiphop anthem 'The Humpty Dance'. If you don't know Rory as yet, then allow us to introduce you. No stranger to the international party scene; Rory Lyons has been tearing up dancefloors for years with the much acclaimed duo Cassette Jam. 2012 brings a new direction though, and if Simon says ‘Get the fuck up’, Rory Lyons says ‘Get the fuck down’! Rule books are good for one thing and one thing only - and that’s not writing more rules in. Rory’s debut release ‘Shake Ya Mama’, a bass led, big beat, party bomb with a slice of ghetto funk, set out Rory’s ambition to destroy dancefloor's from the very start of his solo career. Firstly, the track was featured in Zane Lowe’s Live Essential Mix from Space Ibiza, then further support came from Kissy Sell Out, Eddy Temple Morris and Annie Nightingale. This dance floor destroyer set off all the right noises for Rory to embark on a hectic release schedule to lay the foundations of a glittering solo career.   

2012 is a year only in it’s infancy, but with the backing of the Utah Saint's ‘Sugarbeat’ imprint, a release schedule including remixes for the Drumattic Twins, Krafty Kuts, Kissy Sell Out, Dim Mak and global touring to follow - Rory is about to show the world that this is an industry built only for the serious party rockers. Rory Lyons debut release Shake Ya Mama was Zane Lowes single of the week and featured on his BBC Radio 1 Space ibiza Essential mix in 2014, since then Rory’s singles (Le Pump and Get Some) have featured on Toolroom Records Ibiza annuals (2013 & 2014) and received support from the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Shibba San, A Trak, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe

Rory Lyons had previously been tearing up dancefloors for years with the much acclaimed duo Cassette Jam. The guys became renowned for rocking dancefloors at the likes of Chibuku, Wax On, Metropolis and The Warehouse Project. Ibiza Residencies at Amnesia, Space & Ibiza Rocks followed. On the festival front, he has rocked crowds at Creamfields, Snowbombing, V Festival, SW4, Gatecrasher Sound System and Global Gathering. 

The last two years has seen Rory venture into producing for other dance artists, and his work has featured on the some of the worlds finest labels such as DirtyBird, MTA Records, Toolroom, MadTech and SouthernFried
