Effed Up Christmas, feat. Itasca, Zee and Nicholas

In a trailer park in Fromberg Montana, after discovering a dusty guitar underneath her mother’s bed, Rosa started to teach herself chords to the songs in her head. Fromberg doesn’t even have a gas station or traffic light to keep you from driving right on past, so it’s not unusual her music developed a lonely, folky vibe.

Now a California girl, Rosa fronts the folkpop band Hunters, which released its third album in 2015. We All Go Up the Mountain Alone Together is about love, PTSD, ghost towns and modern-day minotaurs. Her second solo album, Love Letters, is forthcoming in November of 2015. The songs all have something in common, besides stacked vocal harmonies and stripped-down instrumentation. They are all love letters to a person, place or thing, or feature love letters in the lyrics/storyline.
