In Wordcolour’s own words, "all the way back in January 2021, when the UK was entering its second national lockdown, I set myself the task of trying to write a club track. I wanted to avoid the lockdown temptation to write melancholic, dreamy dance music, and so found myself trying to remember what the club sounded and felt like at a time when raving was a distant memory.

The result, Bluster, continues some of the club experiments I began on my first EP "Tell Me Something", but with a beefed-up heavier sound aimed at slow, chunky techno sets. Like that first record, this track has a sense of humour - constantly cutting in playful bits of vocal and drum detail. Both the title and the artwork imply an undue swagger - a sense of winging it through changeable unpredictable weather conditions: a combination that, for me, sums up the feel of this track as well as the circumstances in which it was made."

D.Yaroslav, the Dug Up The Bongo founder, is releasing a seven track EP come album in aid of Ukranian humanitarian fund “Grains of Peace” being spearheaded by 20ft Radio.

The release is available via Whypeopledance who have been behind a number of charitable causes in the wake of the war following Russia’s invasion.

For our tenth release James Bright & Joe Morris come together for the 'New Island Sound' EP. A rich collection of tracks infused with the warm breeze of summer. Opening with Evenfall, its languid synths and subtle keys evoke the sun sparkling off the sea. The gentle dub energy of Echo Bay chills the mood further while the title track turns up the heat, pulling us onto the dance floor for a late night work out with its irresistible bass throb, entrancing synths and dubwise vocals. The Dawn Chorus mix takes us through to sunrise, cooling the energy with a spacier feeling to let the elements breathe as we float away to the horizon.
