Months of lockdown have left us quite thirsty for music, collective experiences and losing ourselves to dance. Pia Musik's Piazolla-Festival somewhere up in the Swiss mountains almost made up for all the weekends of self isolation.

Playing Naders «Party Garantie» at Friedas Büxe in Zürich for some of my closest friends always makes me more nervous than playing a big room full of strangers.

Ever wondered if men are really being treated differently behind the decks? I did. So I decided to find out and play my gig at Schatzalp up in the swiss mountains with a moustache glued to my face and my boobs taped under my armpits. Wouldn't recommend, mobility is shite, but I'm still very happy with the set.

This one goes out to all the dedicated dancers at Klaus Club in Zurich on Thursday, 7th of April 2023. You guys where absolute champions, one of the best crowds I ever played for. People like you are the reason i like to DJ so much. Thank you for your perseverance - I couldn't have played for as long as I did if it wasn't for your incredible energy. I love you!

Hatte die Ehre, für WIR Schwestern zu spielen - im wunderbaren Ehrenfeld, im Odonien (oh du Club meiner Träume!), an Pfingsten. Und da habe ich gedacht, ich blaste besser mal den King of Rap. Weil #fuckgenres!

𝗡𝗼𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼 / 𝗢𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗲 / 𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯

Wusstet ihr schon: Ich habe wieder eine eigene Radioshow! Auf dem  deutschen elektronischen Musiksender Sunshine Live hoste ich jeden Freitag von 18 - 20 Uhr die «Swiss Selection» - eine Rundumsicht der helvetischen Machenschaften in Sachen Techno, House, Rave und Co. 

Ich nenne die Show übrigens auch «The Revenge of the Schwizerdütsch». Die Swiss Selection geht nämlich nicht nur in der Schweiz, sondern auch in Deutschland über den Äther. Scho bitz geil oder?!

Anyway, am 11. August 2023, dem Vorabend der Streetparade, habe ich der Vorfreude gefrönt und mich live on air durch 30 Jahre Paraden-Highlights gemixt. Von Animal Trainer bis DJ Tatana, von Juli Lee bis Kellerkind. 

Ich muss zugeben: Das war anspruchsvoll. Tempi von 115 - 130 bpm wollte ich mischen, exakt 2 Stunden lang musste die Sendung sein, harmonisch passend und gleichzeitig thematisch sinnvoll die Abfolge der Tracks. Und dann hab ich das Ganze auch noch selbst moderiert.

Ich will ja nicht plöffen, aber: das «Swiss Selection Streetparade Special» ist mein bisher technisch versiertester Mix geworden. Musikalisch crazy, ja, aber anspruchsvoll und zugleich ziemlich geil. Find ich zumindest.

Studien zeigen: Nur 1% der elektronischen Tracks, die in Clubs und im Radio gespielt werden, stammen aus der Feder von Frauen. Krass - oder?

Das erklärte Ziel in diesem Mix/in dieser Show war es, dieses Verhältnis zu Gunsten der Frauen zu verschieben! Aramiss und ich spielten ein zweistündiges all female Set und sprachen darüber, wie divers, bunt und tolerant Rave wirklich ist - oder eben auch nicht.

Last Friday I played Intro at the Kauz Club in Zurich. The occasion was the "Sweat and Glitter" rave of my old and dear friend Talaya - a party that couldn't be more sex-positive, excessive and at the same time respectful. 

I swear: I have rarely played a more coherent and dramaturgically balanced set. 

Self-praise? Sure. Self-love? Always.

Rosanna is no friend of genre boundaries. If she‘s asked about the style of music she plays, her answer usually is: „I play music my girlfriends would dance to“. And because Rosannas girlfriends are a pretty openminded crowd who will dance to about everything that has heart, funk and soul, her spectrum goes from Classic House to UK Bass. In short: She plays music for girls who love to loose themselves in movement throughout the night. And for every other creature of darkness and glitter there is out there, too. 

Rosanna has left her mark all over the Swiss electronic music scene. As one half of «Grüter&Bürgin» on Swiss National Radio SRF3, she hosted and produced the only nationwide electronic music radio show in Switzerland. With her collective «Les Belles de Nuit» she advocated (and still advocates) for diversity and gender equality within Swiss nightlife and club culture. And as a DJ, she played all relevant clubs and festivals in Switzerland. 

During the day, she produces documentaries. At night, music is her heartbeat. 

She lives, loves and works in Zürich.
