Rosa Sky named their 3rd album after The white electric wizard. Inspired by Maya culture and a mysterious figure carved in the rocks of the ancient valley of wonders in the south of France. This to symbolize the proces of making music and crafting songs. Electric Sound compared with acoustic instruments into catchy songs. The lyrics of the nine songs often tell a story of mysterious dreamlike visions and speak of oceans, snakes and a woman that turns into a dog. The first two albums "Sweet Surrender" &"All Around Us "where mostly acoustic and were well received. Rosa Sky will be performing semi acoustic and/or electric.

Carried Away

Rosa Sky is authentic music. Passionate acoustic & electric music – Indie pop. Singer/songwriter Nicole Schouten and guitarist/songwriter Ben Jasink started Rosa Sky in 2007, creating their songs at home at the kitchen table. Both have been musicians for years and originally played in several bands in the punk and rock-scene. Soon more musicians joined Rosa Sky: Henk Mellema (acoustic bass) and Rene Holthuis (acoustic guitar and lap steel). Nicole is a singer/performer and had a career in Storytelling. Our first cd was recorded in 2008, 12 tracks and is called Sweet Surrender.  A beautiful version of the song Sweet Surrender has been recorded with the Senegalese singer/songwriter Thierno Barry.
 We released our second album All Around Us in October 2011, it was recorded in 1 or 2 takes and it has a fine live sound. Both albums got fine reviews in Musicmaker, Heaven magazine, Fret magazine etc.. and are being played on Dutch National Radio.
