Behrouz Boochani is a Kurdish journalist, author and refugee. He has been held in Australia's Manus island Regional Processing Centre since 2013. Today that's just over 5 years with no knowledge of when he will be resettled. He wrote his book "No Friend But The Mountains Writing from Manus Prison" by sending texts & other social media messages to translator Omid Tofighian over 5 years. The book was published in June 2018 by Picador Pan MacMillian Australia. This book and author has won the 2019 Victorian Prize for Literature. Behrouz has given me permission to read these excerpts on Community Radio (TribeFM) in Australia and to podcast.  The reader is Leo Gortz. Producer Ros Elliott
