LOVE MEDITATION!!!

Ever feel like you’re alone in this world?  Well, here’s a meditation to help remind you that you’re not!  Whenever you’re feeling anxious or alone or lost or sad you can use this visualization.  Many wisdom traditions talk about there being love or God (or whatever their version is) inside everyone and everything.  Growing up Jewish, I was told that God is everywhere, inside everyone and everything all the time.  I remember really imagining this and trying to grasp it as a little girl.  I feel immensely grateful that this was the spiritual worldview imparted on me at such a young age.  As an adult, I’ve been steeped in Tibetan Buddhism, which teaches us that we’re surrounded by love at all times and that we’re not separate from it. In difficult times in my life, when I’m feeling alone, remembering that brings great comfort and relief.  There are a number of Tibetan practices I’ve used to that end, that bring not only this sense of being enveloped in love, but also a sense of deep reverence for and connectedness to this beautiful, powerful life.
