Blue Ruth's musical ingenuity pulls from their background of performing in guitar-heavy bands Youth Man and Pretty Grim.

Through a distorted cacophony of sound, their debut EP 'Mausoleum' presents part-fiction, part-abstract stories, scribbled down from a morbid vision of their Birmingham hometown.  

Six of Blue Ruth's thundering tracks will be released exclusively on the newly re-formed Supersonic Recordings - a label championing the best in experimental and genre-bending music for the ears of curious audiences. The EP will be available as a limited-edition batch of 150 tape cassettes and as part of a T-shirt Bundle.

From its delicate opening chord to its cacophonous finale, ‘Glory’ is a journey through the idea of connection. 

Far from its genesis in the serene farmlands of NSW, ‘Glory’ was developed by the band in their studio in Sydney, Australia. Enlisting the help of producer and recording engineer Jack Prest, Broken Mountain went into Studios 301 to record, shortly before the iconic studio complex moved premises. The ‘Glory’ session was one of the last recordings to be made in the legendary Studio A live room.

The band is comprised of Andrew Bruce (The Possé, Wallace, New Venusians, Okenyo, Sampa The Great, Ngaiire) on keys and vocals, drummer and producer Nicholas Meredith (E^ST,  Anatole, Dreller, Kcin, Fiction Writer, Jesse Redwing, Guineafowl), and bass and keys player Brendan Clark (Jesse Redwing, Fiction Writer, Oliver Thorpe, Air land and sea).

"I wrote ‘Glory’ after a trip to Bellingen in the winter,” says Bruce. “I was there with some friends and we drove to a place called the Promised Land, next to the Never Never River. The area is beautiful and has a special energy. It was there that I wrote the poem 'Glory' which formed the basis of the song as we know it today.”

“It's about reflecting on an innate connection towards nature. It's about pausing and immersing yourself in your environment." 

Broken Mountain are a subtle force. Despite each individual’s impressive talents the trio have formed an extremely rare, collaborative bond. Taken from the group’s debut release, ‘Glory’ is a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come. .

Rosie Tee forges an innovative, atmospheric blend of electronica, psych and avant-pop amongst the industrial backdrop of the UK's second city.

Through an explorative approach to songwriting Rosie emits joy for the experimental. Her crystalline vocals meander between dark, forceful beats and fragile melodic contours. The sporadic movements of her synth-heavy sound anchored only by the use of striking, minimal structures.

Rosie collaborates closely with her quartet, touring across the UK with a line-up of vocals & glockenspiel, offkilter synths (Piera Onacko), swarming bass (Dan Cippico) and textural drums (Kai Chareunsy). Together, they ebb and flow between digital and analogue worlds, most at home on the stage of their intoxicating live performances.
