At around the middle of the production process I noticed I wanted this track to become my personal masterpiece so far. I put effort and love and enthusiasm in all of my tracks but this one became special. I am really thrilled and excited to share the result of sleepless nights on the DAW today. I've wanted to cover this Grateful Dead tune for some time. Composed in 1970, the wonderful, timeless lyrics were penned by Robert Hunter, with music by Jerry Garcia. A bit of a departure from the band's early psychedelic music, it really hearkens back to Garcia's early roots in folk music. I tried to preserve the intimate character of the original song, while putting a bit of a different rhythmic vibe to it. Hard to do justice to this amazing classic, but I wanted to lend my hands and voice to it anyway.

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?

It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better left unsung
